We delivered AssetIndex+ to NGS and integrated it closely with their MIMSY XG collections management system.

Links are made from assets to objects in MIMSY XG via accession numbers put into asset records in AssetIndex+. These accession numbers are inferred from the asset filenames when the assets are ingested into the system, but can also be entered manually.

OAI is then used to harvest collection data from the relevant object record and insert it into the asset record. The link is also used to import asset information into MIMSY XG alongside the relevant object.

The image ingestion process has been configured to generate renditions for use in MIMSY XG, in the galleries' kiosks and on their website.
